A nature getaway combining scientific observation and discovery of the animal world

This excursion offers an original day out in Normandy, at the heart of the Léry-Poses leisure park, combining nature, science and animal discovery. The program combines a visit to the Seinoscope, a unique site dedicated to the observation of fish from the Seine, and the Biotropica animal gardens, a veritable voyage through the world’s ecosystems.

Designed for groups, this day combines education, wonder and immersion in biodiversity.

The Seinoscope: observing the invisible life of the Seine

Located near the Poses dam, the Seinoscope is the only place in France where you can observe the migratory fish of the Seine in their natural environment.

Thanks to a room submerged below the water level, visitors can admire different species passing through the fish pass, designed to allow them to swim up the river despite the dam.

A fun scientific experiment

The Seinoscope offers a rare and educational observation:

  • An underwater glass room overlooking the Seine
  • Discovering migratory fish
  • An explanation of how dams and fish passes work

This system also enables scientific monitoring of populations using video counting systems.

Understanding the ecological challenges of the Seine

The tour will give you a better understanding of :

  • The river’s biodiversity
  • Species migration issues
  • Human development and its impact

It’s a fun and educational approach, ideal for all ages.

This immersion recreates the natural conditions of many species.

A 10-hectare outdoor park

  • Asian garden (red pandas, otters)
  • Pelican and stork lake

A fun and educational experience

  • Local biodiversity on the Seine
  • The world’s wildlife in a wildlife park

This contrast makes for a particularly rich and varied experience.
